Energy efficiency truly does pay, as officials with Crowder College recently learned.
Liberty presented Crowder a check for $137,299 for energy efficiency incentives offered through our commercial program. The college earned the incentives through construction and retrofits performed at the campus in Neosho, Missouri. Projects included lighting and HVAC equipment upgrades made campuswide.
“I am grateful for what Liberty was able to do to help us with this project,” said Dr. Katricia Pierson, President of Crowder. “Anytime we can get funds back, it helps us keep our tuition low, which helps our students. These funds will also help fund more projects such as the new 60,000-square-foot facility in Joplin.
Greg Holm, Liberty’s Energy Efficiency Manager, said the upgrades mean a projected energy savings of more than 2 million kilowatt-hours per year.
“Crowder is a great partner for Liberty’s energy efficiency programs,” said Holm. “We look forward to continued collaboration in the future.”
