Big savings mean more money for improvements to the educational experience for one Southwest Missouri school district.
Liberty recently presented Ozark School District a check for $102,637.92 for energy efficiency incentives offered through the commercial program.
Projects in a variety of district facilities included lighting replacement and installation of lighting controls. Greg Holm, Manager of the Energy Efficiency program at Liberty, estimated that the school district was saving approximately 880,000 kWh each year by making the improvements.
Among those on hand for the presentation were Dr. Curtis Chesick, Ozark School District's Assistant Superintendent of Operations; Tracy Slagle, Liberty’s Key Accounts Representative-Business and Community Development; Holm; and representatives from Trane and ICF International, which assisted with project planning and installation.
“We love working with Liberty and the partnership on all of our building projects,” said Chesick. “We’re excited to receive these funds, which will be used to upgrade the HVAC in our high school.”
Slagle said it was a pleasure for Liberty to work with the school district for this project.
“It’s a wonderful community of educators and staff that truly cares about the future of the students and the Ozark community,” she said. “They are a wonderful example of innovation and civic awareness.”
