On Saturday, February 15, contractors on the Missouri wind farm project successfully poured the first of 138 wind turbine foundations for the North Fork Ridge and Kings Point wind farms. This marks the start of major construction for the projects. Construction activities include foundations for the wind turbines and, in the spring, the first deliveries and installations of the turbine towers and blades. Construction on the Neosho Ridge Wind farm in Neosho County, Kansas, began in the fall of 2019. Commercial operation for all three wind farms is expected to begin in late 2020.
As construction activity increases, Liberty Utilities encourages residents and drivers in the area of the projects to be aware of increased traffic on roadways. We urge the community to take caution around construction activity and to be aware of changes in road conditions and modified or temporary signage installed to help guide traffic safely.
