JOPLIN, MISSOURI – April 7, 2020 – An electric service interruption has been scheduled for portions of the Aurora and Verona, Missouri, area on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, beginning at midnight and lasting until approximately 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8. Customers should be aware these times are approximations and the outage could be postponed or extended due to weather or equipment issues.
Approximately 300 customers could be affected at some time by the service interruption. To limit the inconvenience, Liberty Utilities crews will perform this work overnight and will switch the power load through maintenance to limit the number of customers impacted and to keep the outage as brief as possible. Switching the power load means that customers could notice blinks during the process. This scheduled outage is the result of a substation equipment upgrade which is expected to improve reliability for Liberty Utilities customers. We thank customers for their patience as we complete this work.
