Liberty has a proud tradition of community service. Our employees are involved in giving back to their communities at every level, from performing hands on volunteer work, to organizing fundraisers, to leading non-profit boards and civic groups.
One of our employee's largest efforts is the annual Liberty United Way campaign. Over the last five years, through fundraisers and payroll contributions, Liberty and its employees have contributed nearly $1 million to United Way organizations across our service area.
To encourage employee community involvement and volunteer work, Liberty created the Liberty Days program. The Liberty Days program gives each Liberty employee three annual workdays to use towards completing an act of community service. In 2020 alone, Liberty employees completed over 8,500 Liberty Day hours to help serve their communities.
Each year, Liberty donates significant dollars to support community programs, local schools, energy conservation, sustainability efforts, and more. We regularly share community donation information on our organization's Facebook feed.
Liberty is well-known for leading and supporting environmental efforts on a local and national level. These efforts include producing clean, renewable energy, protecting wildlife, providing wildlife and vegetation education opportunities, and hosting environmental events.
