Frequently Asked Questions
If a meter reading is not received, per our tariff, Liberty may estimate your bill for that month based on past usage. If you miss two (2) consecutive months, or any three (3) months in a rolling twelve-month period, Liberty may resume monthly readings of the meter.
Liberty may charge 5% interest on unpaid amounts resulting from failure to report usage or inaccurate reporting.
If you elect to self-read, you will need to submit readings every month following the next scheduled meter read date shown on your monthly bill. This date can vary from month to month.
At least once a year, Liberty will need access to your meter to obtain an actual meter read. This is to verify the accuracy of self-read meters. Liberty may charge 5% interest on unpaid amounts resulting from failure to report usage or inaccurate reporting.
